We took Brandon's Easter pictures on Friday, April 9th.  He's starting to get used to this, I think, because he didn't get fussy at all this time.  In fact, he was acting like he's starting to enjoy these silly photo sessions!

I took some miscellaneous pictures on April 8th and 9th; the first few, he was playing around in his crib before bedtime, and the last 6, he was putting his pacifier in his mouth and being weird - the nipple was tucked into the bottom half of his mouth, while the "handle" stuck out, and looked like a strange green tooth.  I didn't get a very good picture of him doing that, though, because he kept trying to get the camera, as you might be able to tell.

Here are the pictures I took on April 5th, the Kansas City Royals home (and season!) opener.  Royals won in the 9th inning, 9-7, against Chicago White Sox.  Though we didn't go to the game, Brandon and I watched it on television.  His first baseball game.  (Craig and I are going to the 2nd game, on April 7th.)  Oh yeah, this was also his grandpa Clemons' birthday.

WARNING: HIGH QUALITY PICTURES BELOW.  Just in case.

I took MORE pictures on April first.  Some are of Brandon inside, trying to climb out of the crib at my mom's house.  I didn't manage to get any pictures of him really trying TOO hard.  The others are of him out on their deck, with a funny hat on.  He managed to yank the hat off when he knew my mom wasn't looking.  Also, in one picture, you can see where Scout snuck a lick on his head.

More pictures taken on March 31st.  Some are bathtime pictures, others are of him playing before bed.  Yes, I DID put him in his toy basket to play.  He doesn't mind; it gets him closer to all his toys.  Especially since he's wont to herd them all over the place!

Some video of the baby, finally!  Taken with our photo camera, so that explains the lower-than-usual quality.  It's a pretty good sized file, so it might take a while to download and play.  Anyway, click here and enjoy!  Email me if you have problems with the video.

I FINALLY took some high-quality pictures on March 31st.  There are only 5, but they're all close to one MB in size, so it may take a while to load the larger pictures.  They're pretty funny, though.

Still playing with the camera, I took more photos today (March 29th), of Brandon playing in the exersaucer (more like jumping!) and eating dinner.  One note:  we had to raise the saucer one notch, he's getting that tall.  And he still bends his knees when his feet are flat.  He IS gonna be taller than me soon, I think!  Another note - these pictures are at the lowest quality possible for our camera.  I haven't even tried highest setting yet!

We FINALLY got a new digital camera on March 28th.  The pictures are HUGE, so you are warned.  The first pictures are of him in his carseat, on the way home from where we'd purchased the camera.  (I just couldn't wait!)  The others are back at my mom's house.   Plus, here are some random pictures.  FYI - the new camera can take almost 400 pictures on low quality - and I had the camera set on MEDIUM last night.  I might change it to low later.  Heh.

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, I took some pictures of Brandon, cos he looks so cute-ee!  (Give me a break.  I'm old and stuff.)

I took a few pictures of Brandon after dinner on March 25th.  I won't say why, though :)

On Wednesday, March 24th, I managed to get a few pictures of Brandon blowing raspberries so much that he looked like a rabid puppy.  And yes, the fingers in the pictures are his - he's trying to get the camera as I made noise back at him.  He's pretty silly.

On Sunday, March 21st, Brandon got to play in the newspapers with his paternal grandparents.  We finally have a few pictures of him smiling!  On another note, he also had his first tastes of fresh grapes, cantaloupe, honeydew, and pears today.  He didn't know what to do, and just kind of gummed the bites.  He can also sit very well on his own, and is doing a good job of sitting up, too (especially if I hold his feet down!)  He can pull himself up to stand, and he's almost crawling - he slides backwards pretty well!  Still no teeth, but we think that'll happen very soon.  But now, on with the pictures!

On Wednesday March 17th Brandon showed his Irish spirit by dressing the part and doing a little song and dance.
(Translation: He babbled and wiggled like always)

We were playing around on Sunday, March 14th, with one of Brandon's blankets.  Here are the resulting silly pictures - some are sillier than others.  And no, he's not on anything!  Oh yeah, there's a lot, as usual.  You'll get over it.

On Friday, March 5th, we went to visit Brandon's maternal grandpa Tom while grandma and great-grandma were out of town.  Imagine the trouble we got into when we gave Brandon his first taste of graham crackers.  What a mess!  Here are a few pictures we took.  We're still not sure if more of the cracker ended up on his clothes, or in his belly!

We also tried on his little leprechaun outfit on Sunday, February 22nd.   Poor kid.  He seemed to really like the hat with the green curls, though, and the other green cardboard hat seemed like it might have tasted good.  Unfortunately, we missed out on Valentine's day pictures - maybe next year?  But we'll probably get Easter pictures!!   Oh, and today was his 6-month birthday.  He's growing so fast!!

It was a really warm day on Sunday, February 22nd, so we put Brandon in one of his baseball caps. (it finally fits!)  We're not even college sports fans, but it's still a cute hat.  He always blinks right before I get the picture, silly baby!  But he's sitting up pretty well with minimal support!

On Saturday, February 21st, we took Brandon to Best Buy for the first time.  He was so cute, and flirted so much, that they took a picture for us.  I'll get that scanned later.  (they were supposed to send a copy, but they forgot, I suppose!)

On Sunday February 8th, we spent some time at Grandma's house.  He got lost in his toys (E.T. style) and we couldn't find him for an hour or two.  He finally turned up when he decided he needed more chicken!

We finally got Brandon a highchair on Friday, February 6th.  He likes eating in his saucer, but I thought it would be easier if he could eat at the table with us.  Plus, he thinks he's a big boy now, so .... !  He is actually so tiny that he got lost in the chair - when we put him in it, his head was BARELY over the tray!  That's something we weren't expecting.  However, he really enjoyed his first meal in it.  He was eating green beans - they're thick because he likes cereal added to it, but he's still not so fond of the jarred green beans.  But they really are kind of gross.  Yeah, I know, because I taste a bit of each new food we give him.  I'm certainly not going to let the poor baby eat something that tastes terrible!  But next time, I'm making home-made green beans.  They're that bad.  Anyway, on to the forty-some photos.  Oh, by the way, that's Craig's arm feeding Brandon, not some armless monster.  Though sometimes.....

On Thursday, February 5th, we had our first really substantial snow of the winter.  We didn't measure it, but it looked to be around 6 inches or so.  (Notice how the Sunfire is buried!)  We decided to bundle Brandon up so he could take a look for a few minutes, and see his trees covered in snow.  (He's fascinated with trees.)  I took some pictures of the house and neighborhood, too.  We took some pictures while Craig was wearing him, and then I got a few more after we'd come back inside.

My parents finally brought over his saucer toy - we affectionately call it his "flying saucer" - on Saturday, January 10th.  He played in it for a good long time.  My mom even fed him his first helping of oatmeal cereal in it.  I got some pictures of him playing in it after we'd finished dinner.  I don't think he's ever been this excited in his life!

We managed to get Craig's dad to dress up for the New Year photos on Saturday, January 3rd.  My mom had decided to cook a birthday dinner for Craig, so we were all over there that night.  (It was Indian cuisine, by the way, and very good!  Also, it was poker night.  I didn't do too badly, and didn't lose anything, and made half my money back.)  I just kept taking pictures until Tom said something - I wondered how long it would take him.  Plus, I managed to sneak a few of my little brother.  He's trying to hide behind Brandon, and not very well, I might add!

Brandon had his very first feeding of rice cereal on Thursday, January 1st, 2004.  It was interesting, to say the least!  Here's what we got of that.

We also dressed the poor baby up as Baby New Year on Wednesday, December 30th.  My dad joined in on the fun; this weekend, Craig's dad should be joining us.  (This is what happens when you get old and boring, I suppose.) My mom lovingly created the costumes, and a friend of the family did the lettering on Brandon's sash.  The sash, Brandon didn't seem to mind; he apparently did NOT like his top hat.  Silly baby.

We went to visit Uncle David and Aunt Lulu on Saturday, December 27th, and managed to get a few photos there...

Here I am, holding a very sleepy little guy. I think he's trying to lick something... So he goes for his shirt. Now, doesn't he look mad or something?!

Here are the Christmas Eve and Christmas day pictures...

This is his Christmas day bath...

And after his Christmas bath...

Me and my brother, playing with the really weird talking Care Bears.

Here he is in a cute outfit from his great-grandparents in Florida.  We really like it, especially since my dad is such a tool freak.  (Or just a freak?  Sorry dad, Boe made me do it?)

These ones were taken on Christmas Eve - we had to snap a few photos before we changed him, because this Santa suit made him hot!

On Sunday, December 14th, we took some video and photos of Brandon wrestling his new caterpillar in his playpen.  We're pretty sure Brandon won this round...but there WILL BE a rematch!

We got some more Santa photos taken on Monday, December 8th.  Brandon was a bit happier this time around, but he was trying to stand up in his sleigh.  I guess he wants to be a stunt Santa?!  We also put him in his little rocking chair.  He liked that for all of one second.  But every baby photo shoot needs a cry-baby picture, right?

On Sunday, December 7th, we took a few random pictures while he was sleeping in my lap.

On Saturday, December 6th, we took a few pictures of the baby as Santa.  Here they are!  We're going to try to get a few more, because he got a little upset with us.  I don't understand why.

We also took some pictures of Brandon holding (and licking!) a sticker from a political humor websiteClick here to see them, without thumbnails!

Here's one cute picture from December 3rd - then the camera batteries died.  Dang.

My dad came over on December 2nd while we had our second meeting with April from Parents as Teachers.  Brandon had been fighting naptime all afternoon (as he did the previous day!) and was starting to get a little too tired for his own good.  Grandpa finally managed to get the goofy baby to sleep, though in what appears to be an uncomfortable position.  He's so silly.  (The baby!)

I took some pictures of his bath on Monday, December 1st, 2003.  He's getting awfully wiggly and squirmy, and he thinks it's swim time.  It's near time we start bathing him in the toilet!

Click here for pictures taken during October.  (We haven't gotten our film developed yet!)

Here are some other pictures - some taken professionally at the hospital, others taken by Craig when Brandon was in the NICU.  The professional ones were taken on on August 27th, the day Brandon was released from the hospital.

Below are some newborn pictures from Saturday, August 23rd.

!!IMPORTANT!!

Shelly's water broke on Wednesday the 20th at around 8:15pm while at Cheesecake Factory.  Shelly is a bit upset she missed out on cheesecake, but I think it was well worth it.   Brandon Austin Clemons was born on the 22nd of August at 11:43a.m. by C-Section.

We finally remembered to take more pictures on Saturday, August 16th.  We're 9 days away from my estimated due date, but I'm starting to get the feeling he'll decide to show up any minute now.  We also took more pictures of stuff in the nursery; granted, everything's still messy, because I'm in the middle of doing laundry still, but it'll work out.  I hope!  But on to the pictures!

Don't ask me about this look.  Craig was probably being difficult, as usual.  See how big the belly is getting!  I had NO IDEA!  (Well, I'm being sarcastic.  I DO have to carry it around all day, you know.)

Me in front of the window, with the nifty valance.  My mom thinks the baby is going to have all sorts of problems in his childhood, though, because of the white blinds.

On Sunday, July 20th, we finally got around to taking a few pictures of the nursery.  We put the crib together on Friday, the 18th, and were surprised at how easy it really was.  Craig never even swore or fussed!  Anyway, click here to see pictures of the crib and nursery.  They're kind of big!  We're hoping that some evening this week we can finally paint the clouds on the ceiling, and the stars and things around the borders.  We're getting so excited!

I made Craig take some new pictures on July 11th.  It's been almost a week since our first shower, and that was a lot of fun!  The little one is starting to feel like a gymnast / drummer these days, with very few periods of rest.  Usually his rest times are when I'd like him to be awake! :)  Not that it really matters, though.  I really do enjoy him moving about so much - it gives me a lot less to worry about.  I think I'm also finally starting to gain a substantial amount of weight, and most mornings I feel like he's grown several inches and pounds.  In fact, I tend to believe that he's going to be about seven feet long when he comes out!  Here are the new pictures.
The funniest thing is, he was wiggling like a maniac when this one was taken! Craig says this looks like a "serious" smile.  I have no idea what I may have been saying at this point.
Our cat, Indie, decided to hop from the floor to my belly.  Her claws were out.  We decided to let her stay in the picture, because she seemed to need a hug so badly. One more picture.  I suppose there's some difference from a month ago.  The main one being I've finally gotten a decent amount of sun!

On Wednesday, June 11th, we got our 3rd (and probably last!) sonogram - I was measuring a bit on the large side, and my OB wanted to make sure it wasn't the baby.  Well, we had several surprises in store for us - first, the baby is already in a head-down position.  We've got 13 or so weeks to go, and this baby is ready to escape!  Second, the baby wasn't measuring large at all - looks to be right on target.  Third, and most surprising:  the baby's really a boy!  Here are the sonogram pictures (I accidentally let them get some sunlight on them, but fortunately, the video was recorded as the ultrasonographer took the pictures) - and we're going to try to post the video we got, too! (Yeah, they let us take a VHS tape!)  So without further ado, allow us to introduce Brandon Austin Clemons!

This looks like the back of the baby's head. I can't remember! Here's a good picture of his face - it's kind of spooky, because it almost looks like Craig's baby pictures.
This is where we got to see his little boy parts. He was being quite shy about it Another picture of his face.

On Monday, June 2nd, I took my 3 hour glucose tolerance test (GTT).  When I got my results on Wednesday, I found that I'd passed with flying colors - no gestational diabetes for me!  This time I drank a lemon-lime flavored drink, with twice as much dextrose (100 grams as opposed to 50 grams in the orange drink).  I felt HORRIBLE for the first hour or so, and just sat there staring at the walls.  By the time I was ready to leave, I felt a lot better.  The crummiest thing was getting poked 4 times.  I rotated arms so neither would feel left out, and still had some bruises and marks a week later.  I could NEVER be an injectable drug user!

We finally got around to taking new pictures on Wednesday, May 28th.  We'd just gotten home from seeing The Matrix Reloaded, and took them in our soon-to-be-repainted nursery.  (I also had my one-hour glucose tolerance test in the morning, which I failed.  This means I get to take the 3 hour test on Monday.  One thing I must say, though; that orange Dexcola didn't taste too bad - a little like Mountain Dew Live Wire, in fact!)

I had new pictures taken around 10 PM on Tuesday, May 6th (we almost forgot!)  I'm 24 weeks, 1 day.  Let's see how these pictures compare to last week!

Our friend took another picture of my belly on May 3rd, because she's silly like that.

My aunt wanted me to hurry up and take some belly pictures.  I didn't realize quite how pregnant I'd looked until this.  These were taken on April 29th, in the afternoon, by my husband.

By the way, we first felt movement on the outside of my belly on April 21st, 2003.  She's quite powerful.  We actually saw my belly move from her kicks on May 4th, 2003.  That was pretty cool.

These sonogram pictures were taken on Wednesday, April 2nd (a week after my birthday, even!!), when I was 19 weeks and 2 days along.  So far, it looks like we've got a little girl growing in there - but it may still be too early to tell.  Click on the pictures for a larger view.

Here's a picture a friend took at her house the day after her birthday, March 8th.  Craig's the silly grinning redhead.  The other guy is our friend's nice husband.  He might be doing dishes.

These are the first ultrasound pictures taken, on January 8th.  I was 7 weeks and 2 days, I think.  It's a tiny little thing, and you can barely tell it's a baby.  It still looks like an alien.
